WWC Meetings
Who should attend?
If you are a woman (over 18 years of age) who is new to BDSM or new to the Seattle BDSM community,
please bring your questions or just sit and listen. If you are an
experienced player, bring that experience as well as your opinions and
stories to share with new folks. The WWC is a group effort!
When and where are the meetings?
NOTE: We have a new meeting place beginning with our March 2nd, 2009, meeting! We're now at Charlie's on Broadway, in the front room!
The Women's Welcoming Committee meets on the first Monday of every
month, from 7 P.M. to 9 P.M., at Charlie's on Broadway atop Seattle's Capitol Hill. Charlie's address is: 217 Broadway Ave East. Look for us in the front room.
Here's a better map.
What should I wear?
Dress for WWC meetings is casual, with many people coming directly
from work. Fetish wear is not particularly appropriate for our
meetings, as sad as this makes us.
What about privacy?
A reminder: Not everyone is "out" about their interest in BDSM. Please
don't pressure people to give you their name. Merely introducing
yourself to a new person can make them feel that they need to respond
in kind, so make it clear that they don't need to tell you their name.
We will often provide an opportunity for members to introduce
themselves to the group if they so desire.
A note to men:
The WWC is intended for women. We are not a dating service, nor are we
in need of "serving boys." Requests relating to either of the above
will be cheerfully ignored. We wish you the best of luck in your
search!
